Bike lane separated from traffic with a barrier. Barriers can include flexposts, parking lanes, concrete curbs, and more. Sometimes, the protected bike lane is accompanied with special bicycle stoplights, signs, and pavement markings at intersections. Protected bike lanes can be one-way or two-way.
Reference[]
Protected bike lanes are the same as cycle tracks (sometimes spelled "cycletracks"). Some bicycle facilities in the region are still referred to as cycle tracks.
